Euf\u00f2nic Pro<\/strong> \u2013 Terres de l\u2019Ebre is Euf\u00f2nic\u2019s professional gathering, which once again turns Tortosa into a space for encounter, conversation and friction between artists, curators, researchers, programmers and cultural managers<\/strong> from a wide range of contexts. Co-produced with the Escola d\u2019Art i Cultura de la Diputaci\u00f3 de Tarragona in Tortosa<\/strong>, on the mornings of 16 and 17 July<\/strong> the former convent of Sant Joan becomes a place to share processes, methodologies, doubts and intuitions, but also to imagine alliances, open up new lines of work and think collectively about where contemporary practices are heading today. Curated and hosted by Ant\u00f2nia Folguera<\/strong> (S\u00f3nar+D) and Marta<\/strong> Oliveres<\/strong> (El \u00c1lamo), Euf\u00f2nic Pro unfolds through a programme of round tables, project presentations, conversations and informal meetings at the intersection of visual, digital and performative arts. Taking as its starting point issues such as the challenges of new cultural ecosystems, disruptive technologies, the materiality of digital technologies, the relationship between art and science, and rural environments as spaces for creation and research, the gathering seeks to create spaces for shared thinking rather than closed conclusions.<\/p>\n

Among the first confirmed names are Tamar<\/strong> Clarke<\/strong> Brown<\/strong> (Serpentine, London); curators Roberta<\/strong> Bosco<\/strong> and Mandy<\/strong> Romero<\/strong>; Alberto<\/strong> Novello<\/strong> (NEAT); Daniel<\/strong> Burda<\/strong> (Signal Festival); Richard<\/strong> Neyroud<\/strong> (former head of exhibitions at CRAC Alsace); visual artist Marina<\/strong> Monson\u00eds<\/strong>; artist and researcher Jawa<\/strong> El<\/strong> Khash<\/strong>, who will present the project \u201cRaqqa Ware 2.0\u201d; Josep<\/strong> Pi\u00f1ol<\/strong>, who will speak about the project \u201cEvitada\u201d; Jordi<\/strong> Duch<\/strong>, from the URV Chair for University and Knowledge Region; and the activity \u201cHacking the World\u201d by Berta<\/strong> Segura<\/strong> and Fran<\/strong> Tur<\/strong>, among others. More than a conventional professional conference, Euf\u00f2nic Pro proposes a temporary space of coexistence where ideas circulate, are discussed and are put into question over coffees, lunches, shared bus rides between Amposta and Tortosa, presentations, improvised conversations and the now classic Pro paella.<\/p>\n

The gathering also expands beyond the spaces of debate and conversation: on Thursday 16 in the afternoon, the usual inaugural route of artistic installations in Amposta will take place, culminating in the triple opening of the festival\u2019s 15th edition. Two mornings and one afternoon from which to think, also, about other ways of making culture today.<\/p>\n
