Rethinking cultural mobility: an online session of Eufònic PRO+
An Eufònic PRO+ activity to explore how to move what we do in a constantly transforming world
On Tuesday, March 11, Eufònic PRO+ hosts an online meeting from 16:00 to 18:00h on cultural mobility. A debate on how to rethink mobility models in a transforming global context, where sustainability, accessibility, and new digital dynamics will be the central axes.
Get ready for a session with participants from all around the world! The goal is to build a babelian map, a series of word-concepts that will help address a future where the circulation of ideas, projects, and artists is fairer, more accessible, and balanced.
Rethinking cultural connection models
With the guidance of Marta Oliveres, we want to explore the current dynamics of cultural exchanges through three blocks:
- A review of the terminology surrounding cultural mobility.
- The most recurrent topics on physical mobility as a phenomenon.
- The challenges and opportunities of sustainability in digital mobility.
Words do not travel alone: they carry meanings, contexts, and cultural tensions. We will collect key concepts to explore how different languages and conceptual frameworks influence the understanding of artistic mobility, with the goal of collectively building a babelian map, a critical cartography that will serve as a starting point for imagining new ways of relating.
We discuss how to ensure more sustainable, accessible, and ethical artistic circuits, and how digitalization can open spaces for global collaboration without losing sight of environmental and social responsibility. We also address family reconciliation for creators who travel, the challenges of long-distance travel, and how new digital models can democratize access to the arts and culture without compromising their diversity and richness.
