Spoken word and experimental music

The great poet Enric Casasses (52nd Honorary Prize for Catalan Literature) joins the essential Don Simon and Telefunken in a new joint work, “Orbiten”, a magical and cosmic creature that will be presenting at Eufònic 2020 in one of the few performances they will do this year. One of the Catalan references in sound art, Vacca, is taking over for the 13th time the delicate installation “Gran Hall” (originally presented in 1997), a musical appropriation that is constructed as a collage forming new compositions and new scores, at Museu de Tortosa. In dialogue with these veteran artists, new emerging proposals such as those of Marçal Xirau, from classical music but with a passion for drones and noise, or Alberto García Aznar and his work on psychophonies and recordings of electromagnetic fields. Bristolian based in Barcelona Zoon van Snook will bring us his hypnotic piano work to present his new work published on the cult label Lo Recordings and the Galician Lume will subject the folklore of his land to electroacoustic methods, electricity and noise, where the drone and other musical experiments plan hypnotically.
