Asturian artist Alba Matilla has relocated her virtual tour project created from photogrammetry to our landscape. Through 3D scanning, corners of the surroundings of Amposta are frozen in the cloud, and we can navigate them in a video game format infused with a painterly sensitivity that adapts to new digital media. The project was initially conceived as the final project for her Master’s degree in Research and Creation in Art at the University of the Basque Country. Alba Matilla also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts from the University of Vigo, studied Painting at the Akademia Sztuk Pieknych in Krakow (Poland), and is currently pursuing a Higher Degree in 3D Animation, Games, and Interactive Environments.
