Cultural activist and audiovisual artist-producer born in Córdoba and based in Tarragona, Antonio Luque has been working with sound since 1980. His music ranges from industrial sounds to sound experimentation, drawing inspiration from artists such as Brian Eno, Esplendor Geométrico, Hermann Nitsch, or Francisco López. In recent years, he has composed several soundtracks, including “Run away from the rabbit” and “Requiem for DJ in six movements for orchestra & synthesizer,” in collaboration with the Queens Young Orchestra of New York. In addition to his musical activities, since 2013 he has co-directed the contemporary creation space La Grey in Tarragona and directs the art magazine “Corpus Delicti.” At the Casino de Amposta, he will present the second part of “Espacio profundo,” a project that combines graphics, visuals, and electronic and electro-acoustic improvisation using pre-recorded or on-site created loops.
