Jana Winderen is one of the most recognized sound artists internationally and an expert in underwater sound recordings that has exhibited internationally for more than 25 years. She is based in Norway and in the last 15 years has focused on large immersive sound installations, both in prestigious international galleries and in public spaces in Asia, Europe, Australia and America. Her work has been presented in spaces and biennials such as Art Basel (Miami), Wuzhen Contemporary Art Exhibition (Wuzhen), Kunstnermes Hus (Oslo), Thailand International Art Biennale, Munch Museum on the Move (Oslo), GES-2 (Moscow), Augarten (Vienna), MoMA (New York) and 1 the Gothenburg Art Biennale (Gothenburg). He has also created specific Ambisonic sound installations for public spaces such as the Park Avenue Tunnel (Manhattan), Eminonu Square (Istanbul) and Trafalgar Square (London).
In co-production between the Eufonic festival and Lo Pati – Centre d’Art de les Terres de l’Ebre, Winderen will present a new immersive sound installation based on careful and deep listening to the Trabucador area and other spaces of the Ebro Delta.
