Leuclus is a project of musical and poetic experimentation formed by Violeta Albareda, Riccardo Massari (TARKAMPA), and Gerard Díaz (LA COMPANYIA MINIMíssimA). The three members have diverse interests and backgrounds and have found in this project the opportunity to experiment with sound and word, drawing on both archaism and contemporaneity. Their alliance aims to create verses and sounds to be experienced in poetic-musical performances, inspired by the ancient troubadours who made poetry to be heard rather than read. The troubadours understood “trobar leu” as a straightforward, simple, and approachable form of creation, in contrast to “trobar clus,” which was more complex, closed, and somewhat difficult to understand.

Riccardo Massari Spiritini (TARKAMPA) is a composer, sound and visual artist, performer, and producer. He has been playing and composing incessantly since 1988. His collaborations have taken his works across Europe, Mexico, the U.S., Colombia, and Japan. Gerard Díaz (LA COMPANYIA MINIMÍssimA) is a professional luthier, a vocational musician, and an accidental poet. He has performed at most traditional events in the country and is a regular on the poetry circuit. Violeta Albareda Fernández is a musician, teacher, and workshop facilitator. She has a special interest in the development of sound exploration, musical sense, movement, and the interrelationships between languages. She is currently developing a project of playful encounters based on sound, visual, and plastic installations.
