[bionic sound machine / more than human composer] is a bio/artificial generative sound art installation that combines algorithms and an organism (slime mold) in a semi-liquid medium connected to sensors that measure its excitement in response to sound stimuli. Art, science, and technology have always converged in the work of this experimental musician and independent researcher based in Barcelona. Through the development of generative sound and light systems, he promotes active listening through acidic and labyrinthine physical-acoustic experiences on the border between chaos and order. He resides somewhere between computer music, the aesthetics of error, and the rawest noise. Martín is also the driving force behind the MetaminaFNR streaming platform and conducts workshops with open-source creation tools (FLOSS) on generative systems and computer music. His installations have been showcased in spaces such as the Centre d’Art Lo Pati d’Amposta (Eufònic 2023), the Museo Nacional Reina Sofía in Madrid, Azkuna Zentroa (Bilbao), Sōnar (BCN), Festival Piksel (Norway), ElectroPiksel (France), Kunststiftung BW (Germany), or Ars Electronica Garden (BCN).
