British-Spanish queer artist Frances Ribes Renshaw defines their musical project St. Frances as “grunge-pop.” After collaborating on various projects (Smell, Infanta), they released their debut album, “there’s room for everything,” last February. A collection of 12 pieces that explores a multitude of emotional layers – vulnerability, the need for a sense of belonging –, that span across a 5 year frame in their life as a singer-songwriter and includes a cover of Pixies’ “Monkey Gone to Heaven.” At La Lira of Amposta, we’ll witness how they have found their own voice navigating between alternative pop and electrofolk. As a performer, Frances has also worked with artists such as Martin Creed, Rui Horta, or Marina Santo while developing their own performative pieces.
