The second conversation about musical composition will have as protagonist the singer, composer, pianist and performer Maria Coma. The work of this Barcelona-born with roots in Berguedà and Mallorca is at the intersection of music, sound art and performance. She released five solo albums and many of us met her with her brilliant “Celesta” (2013). She then moved to Berlin, where she immersed himself in somatic arts, movement arts and extensive vocal practices, from the most experimental to polyphonic roots music. Her artistic practice is guided by self-exploration in order to develop a polyvalent, decolonized and physical vibration language. She has done more than 400 concerts throughout the country, in Germany and in South America, and has collaborated with many different dancers, performers, musicians and artists. Her first piece of sound art was “Bodylandscape”, fully recorded with her body and voice, and exhibited at the Centre d’Art Santa Mònica in Barcelona.

Conversation conducted by musical journalist Javier Blánquez.
