BotCamp: Eufònic’s Digital Camps

This year we are organizing the first edition of BotCamp, a collaborative retreat focused on bots, automation, and generative art. It will take place on July 5th, 6th, and 7th in Bot (Terra Alta), and REGISTRATION is already open.

What is it?

BotCamp is a community gathering where technology and creativity converge, exploring the intersections between rurality and digitality. It is an opportunity to delve into the prototyping and development of technology-driven creative projects.

What will we do?

During the retreat, which includes two nights at the Lo Molí de Bot hostel, selected proposals will be developed from those that respond to this open call for ideas. It is not necessary to be a technician; workgroups will be formed where we will collaborate on what we know and learn what we don’t. The goal is to create the first prototype of each project. We will use open-source software and there will be talks, idea presentations, creation labs, open rehearsals, and audiovisual performances.

Mentors and artists

The mentors of this camp are four leading figures in digital creation in our country: visual artist and code developer Alba G Corral, coder and digital artist Anna Carreras, curator and communicator specializing in digital culture Antònia Folguera, and art and science curator Irma Vilà. BotCamp will also feature live coding performances by Turbulente & Eloi el Bon Noi and Lina Bautista & Timo Hoogland, as well as an open rehearsal of generative music and laser by the Playmodes collective, and a sound installation by Oscar Martin aka Noish.
