Every liter of seawater contains over 11 billion microorganisms invisible to the human eye, which have a significant impact on oxygen generation, cloud formation, and carbon absorption in the deep ocean, reducing global warming on the planet. This artistic piece, using generative code, 3D design, and visual and sound elements based on scientific data from the DNA of the marine microbiome, allows us to explore the complexity of these processes essential for the planet’s health and, consequently, for all of us. A project of artistic and scientific co-creation, developed by scientists Pablo Sánchez and Vanessa Balagué along with visual artist Alba G. Corral, the sound space of Playmodes, and the creative studio SHOOK, aims to develop innovative formats and methodologies for scientific dissemination with the ultimate goal of creating a more informed society with a sharper critical spirit in the face of the challenges of climate change.
