The artist Vanessa Roca Forné from La Ràpita and currently based in Barcelona, will present the artistic installation “Cap. 1: Enversada.” This project is conceived as a visual and sound investigation that, through a series of audiovisual interventions, explores the complex relationship between local traditions, collective memory, identity of resistance, and contemporary ecological crises in the Delta de l’Ebre. As the first work in a larger series, “Enversada” acts as a critical and poetic review of popular ritual practices, focusing on the veneration of Saint Roch as a protective figure in times of calamity. This proposal aims to explore the relevance and displacement of these traditions in a present-day context marked by profound social and environmental transformations in the region and community of the Terres de l’Ebre.

Visiting hours: July 10–13, from 4:00 to 9:00 p.m.
