CONFLUENCE 2026 CAT Open Call Now Open!

2nd call for artistic residencies between Catalonia and Quebec by Eufònic, Avatar and Mois Multi

CONFLUENCE is the international artist residency programme between Catalonia and Quebec, led by Eufònic, Avatar and the Mois Multi festival, in collaboration with L’Estruch, the Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec, and the Institut Ramon Llull. Designed to connect digital, visual and sound-based artistic practices, the programme fosters research, creation and dialogue between contexts. Three years, six residencies, two regions: a creative bridge to establish long-term relationships between artists and cultural agents.

This second open call selects one Catalan artist for an eight-week residency at Avatar (Québec City) during January and February 2026, with a final presentation at the Mois Multi festival. In parallel, the CONFLUENCE 2026 QC call will open to select one Quebec-based artist for an eight-week residency in Catalonia (Spain), including participation in L’Estruch’s programme (June 2026) and the Eufònic festival (July 2026).

Isabel Archs, the first Catalan artist in CONFLUENCE residency in Quebec

The first Catalan artist selected for the CONFLUENCE program was Isabel Archs, who continued developing her project Cold Border during an eight-week residency at Avatar (Quebec), with a final presentation at the Mois Multi festival. A visual and sound-based proposal that explores the threshold between life and death, the silence of final words, and the urge to give them body and voice. Cold Border is a transitional and poetic piece that brings together what unites us despite our differences: shared fragility.

Here’s a glimpse of her CONFLUENCE experience in Quebec!
