Activating culture through porosity, intersection, and experimentation
Two initiatives that, from diverse perspectives, propose ways to activate culture, research, and creation from porous, open, and experimental spaces. From communication strategy to curatorial thinking, including scientific research, all three share a clear intention: to open spaces for dialogue across disciplines and imagine new ways of being in the world.
Cecilia Martín, co-founder of CC – Cultural Connection, an international agency based in London, works from cultural branding to rethink how institutions communicate, relate, and transform. She has collaborated with museums, festivals, and organizations worldwide, advocating for an approach that combines strategy, emotion, and commitment to culture’s public value.
In a complementary vein, Tanja Sæter leads Coast Contemporary, a Norwegian platform that goes beyond the traditional fair or festival format to become a space for meeting and shared thinking among artists, curators, and institutions. With a careful and critical eye, she questions the visibility and sustainability mechanisms of the art system, highlighting the margin, context, and active listening.
