Co-visioning the Future: Art and Ecologies in Transformation
How can we listen to ecosystems in transformation? What can art and science tell us when they work together to understand the slow, deep, and often invisible changes affecting our environment?
This session begins with a guided tour of Jana Winderen’s piece, a sensory and abstract exploration depicting the natural (and unnatural) ecosystem of the Delta. Next, we propose a conversation between researchers working in marine science and global change, featuring Vanessa Balagué and Jordi Camp (ICM-CSIC).
Building on ongoing research, the dialogue will explore how scientific knowledge and artistic practices can be intertwined to reveal the ecological tensions of the present. We will focus on the case of the Ebro Delta as a territory-laboratory where the effects of global change manifest in an accelerated way, and explore how research, creation, and knowledge sharing can help imagine more just and sustainable futures.
A session for co-visioning: to look, listen, think, and feel collectively.
