Between post-rock, free jazz, ambient and psychedelia, Sociedad Síntrica Dodecafónica builds a hypnotic sonic space open to drift, where texture and improvisation carry as much weight as melody. Noise guitar work, deep basslines, subtle electronics and the expressive freedom of the saxophone: SSD’s live shows unfold like immersive and ever-shifting journeys, moving through dense atmospheres, moments of tension and passages of unexpected delicacy. Think of an even looser, more unrestrained Angine de Poitrine and you’ll be somewhere close.

Sociedad Síntrica Dodecafónica

Founded in 2021, SSD has gradually mutated into a five-piece band connected to Barcelona’s underground scene. Following several EPs and singles, the group has evolved towards increasingly open and organic sound territories, drawing closer to free jazz, ambient and sonic collage while still retaining the post-rock DNA of its early days. They are currently preparing a new 10” vinyl EP where this shift towards freer, more eclectic and harder-to-classify forms becomes even more apparent.
