Four rooms, four stages of life and one persistent question: what do we do with our memories? “Memory Lane” is an immersive experience that combines video game and physical interface to explore nostalgia and the ways in which the past continues to shape our relationship with the present. Guiding a small point of light through different spaces, visitors move across emotional landscapes linked to childhood, adolescence, youth and adult life. An intimate journey through that ambiguous territory where serenity and melancholy coexist without ever fully separating.
Maria Benbeniste and Jana Ramos
Students in the Design and Innovation degree programme at Elisava in Barcelona, Maria Benbeniste and Jana Ramos work at the intersection of design, technology and human experience. They are interested in understanding the creative process as a tool for exploring questions, provoking reflection and imagining new ways of relating to the world around us. With “Memory Lane”, they investigate how interactive environments can activate memories, awaken emotions and generate shared experiences through something as universal as looking back.
