A new edition of Eufònic Pro is coming
In the framework of the 10th anniversary of Eufònic and the Tortosa Capital of Catalan Culture 2021, it will be held two mornings and two afternoons with activities for registered professionals on 26 and 27 August.
Eufònic Pro is a space for meeting and exchange between programmers, curators and national and international cultural managers with Catalan creators and artists working in digital and performative art and its connections with sound research.
In a hybrid format, with on-site programming at the Escola d’Art de Tortosa and accessible via streaming, Eufònic Pro will offer various activities over two days:
- Panels, round tables and knowledge exchange.
- Kick off sessions and project presentations
- Tindermatches curated by the festival between international programmers and interdisciplinary Catalan artists
- Vermouths with artists and guided tours
- Networking with paella, a classic
- Visits to different venues and entities in Terres de l’Ebre with a minibus service on both afternoons
Curated by Marta Oliveres and Antònia Folguera, Eufònic Pro 2021 will reflect on the concepts of geographical and creative peripheries, on the new ruralities and artistic creation in non-urban environments, with themes and projects such as:
- Symbiosis and the scientific and creative narrative, with the curator Maria PTQK or the artists Clara Boj and Diego Díaz.
- Presentation of the new European network AREA, Art in Rural European Areas, with Henk Keizer, Anna Estdahl and Jean Vinet (in person).
- Symbolic peripheries in creation, with Clàudia Murall (Lo Planter) and the artists Jorge Dutor and Guillem Mont de Palol, among others.
- Creation in the Catalan periphery, with Rosa Cerarols (Konvent.0) and the writer Maria Climent from Terres de l’Ebre.
- Eurocentric decentralisation, with the festivals Inversia from Russia, Nyege Nyege from Uganda and Stihia from Uzbekistan (telematically); or the Mobility Map project in North Africa, with Pau Catà.
- Guests such as Francesco Dobrovich (Videocittà) or Laila Hida (Le18 Marrakesh), among others.
