Pronounced “quebrantahuesos” (bonebreaker in Spanish), QBRNTHSS is the alias of Ramon Casamajó, musician and educator, for his solo projects in electronics and live coding. He has just released his first LP “The Magic Words Are Squeamish Ossifrage” on the English label Interworld Media, has played in international events and spaces such as Ars Electronica 2020, Sónar VIU 2021, Iklectik (London), Algorithmic Art Assembly 2022, and is a member of the live coding collective TOPLAP Barcelona. He is also the director of Call It Anything Records. Casamajó will offer a performance where he combines live coding (music creation in real time by writing source code) and acoustic and electronic instruments in search of a personal space between electronics, contemporary composition and experimental music. A mixture of synthesized samples and sounds generated in real time that explores the tension between rhythm and abstraction, melody and noise, the synthetic and the analog.
