The artist invited to the Sala Sintètica, our virtual environment, is called Andrea Badia and works from Barcelona and Huesca under the moniker nddr3. The main interest of this 26-year-old experimental designer are the possibilities offered by technology as a creative tool. Her conceptual projects are inspired by both organic forms of nature and digital trends and the imaginary of the Internet. She uses techniques such as 3D modeling, VR, art installations with Arduino free hardware or generative graphics. Last year, with the virtual world she built together with Ontologías Feministas during her artistic residency via TikTok at Tarragona’s Mèdol Centre d’Arts Contemporànies, we appreciated her talent to establish a critical and coherent dialogue integrating innovative technologies, processes and languages. More recently she has held an artistic residency at Zaragoza’s Etopia Center of Art and Technology.
