We have won the 2023 National Culture Award!
Last Friday, June 2, Eufònic received the 2023 National Culture Award. The Catalan Arts and Culture Council (CoNCA) awarded the festival “for its successful combination of innovation and tradition”, highlighting “a line of programming that includes artistic proposals of advanced trends that are linked with the geographical environment and wealth of heritage of Terres de l’Ebre, with unique spaces and with professional and formative workshops”.
And we want to express our huge and deep gratitude to all the people, entities and institutions that are or have been involved in these 12 years of Eufònic. Beyond a recognition of an initiative, we see this award as a recognition of a way of living and understanding culture in the territory, a supralocal, collective and contemporary point of view that arises from our interest in arts and our uniqueness as a peripheral territory.
All this has been possible thanks to a diverse and parity curatorial team, formed as well by people from the Terres de l’Ebre and from abroad, and all the towns and villages, institutions, entities, sponsors, media and partners that have been part of the festival or that you have supported us in some of our other projects linked to Eufònic such as Montsònica, Etnoscòpic, Molinex or Eufònic Urbà, among others. And, of course, thanks to our audience, users of a very particular artistic proposal.
See y’all soon to celebrate this award together. Long live the creative peripheries!
