Aloma is a violinist and composer from Terrassa with a long career as a member of the English cult group Current 93, of numerous symphonic orchestras (such as that of Sant Cugat) and chamber ensembles (such as the Barcelona Quartet). In the fall of last year, she released her first solo album Septem Verba through the label Grabaciones Sentimentales and under the umbrella of Hidden Track Records. In it she unfolds thrilling melodies with the most classic sound of the acoustic violin, transformed into an infinity of lugubrious sound effects using pedalboards and loops, mixed with sounds arising from a computer-controlled midi keyboard, thus creating her own style. Holder of the ESMUC’s superior violin degree, she has worked with several contemporary dance and theatre companies as a musician and composer, performing throughout Spain and Germany, and has participated in recordings of groups such as Jules, Ô Paradis and Comando Suzie.
