What happens when art meets science? Last year we talked about it with artists and oceanographers (and we just saw a sample of it with the installation ‘Liquid Strata’ at Sónar+D) and now we bring you four art projects that exemplify this intersection to explore new perspectives and experiences. Anna Rierola, in “The garden of delights”, uses microscopic images to recreate the famous triptych of El Bosco; Thalastasi explores the complexity of the marine microbiome through generative code and 3D design; Lauren Moffat explores the subjectivity of connected bodies and the boundaries between digital and organic life through immersive environments; and Playmodes explore the stars with “Astres”. Four projects that formalize in different ways and open our eyes to new creative fields.
