Álvaro Corrochano is a musician from Madrid who blends acoustic and electronic instrumentation with experimental production, fusing piano and analog synthesizers with ambient textures, percussion, and occasionally vocals. After releasing the single “Cenizas” (Ashes) in 2023, a minimalist piece that incorporates various layers of prepared piano and on which he collaborated with visual artist Adrián Canoura, last January he released his debut album “Patterns.” A handcrafted work that blurs the line between electronica and contemporary instrumental music, steeped in deep melodies, interwoven synthesizers, distinct types of piano, atmospheric vocal pads—courtesy of Madrid-based artist Valdivia—and other acoustic instruments such as the cello.
