Blanca Stock is a young Barcelona-born musician, singer, composer, and architect of British and German origin, currently residing in Brussels. Her musical training was primarily classical, having completed piano and clarinet studies at the conservatory. At the age of fifteen, she began writing her own songs, exploring different harmonies and sounds with an intimate tone that naturally merged with her voice and observational and existential lyrics. For her songs, a breath of fresh air to the indie folk pop tradition, she chooses a rich instrumentation: the warm sounds of harp, piano, cello, double bass, and flugelhorn envelop synthesizers, drums, and electric bass. The result is an intoxicating debut album that was produced together with Catalan pianist and composer Nil Ciuró and was released last March.
