Last year, with the album “Sol x Sempre,” Blu Boi firmly established himself in the Spanish scene. This project, featuring both Valencian and Spanish lyrics, combines experimental electronics and sound design with influences such as Arca, Salem, Modeselektor, Sega Bodega, and Marco Henri. In 2021, it garnered attention with the self-released EP “Jove x Sempre” and has since collaborated with artists like Maria Escarmiento, Margarita Quebrada, Sandra Monfort, and VVV[Trippin’ You]. Notably, they have been featured in compilations like the second and third installments of the “Mutant Mixtape,” praised by Pitchfork and Paper Magazine, where they shared tracklists with Arca and Gupi. After touring venues in Valencia, Barcelona, and Madrid, in La Lira de Amposta we’ll have a chance to witness how their raw and intimate stage presence has evolved, embracing both sonic and visual avant-garde elements.
