“Sòl Pell Paret (Soil Skin Wall) is an improvised and accumulative sound action created from about 50 small sound devices: percussive motors and recycled smartphones reprogrammed as digital synthesizers. Through them, the physical and resonant materiality of the space is explored, in this case a closed fortification system such as the Civil War trenches in the Fornets ravine (Xerta). The superposition of all these elements provokes an immersive and changing sonic situation: all parts intervene actively and/or passively.
Haize Lizarazu is a pianist and creator of experimental music. Especially interested in the hybridization between artistic disciplines, she works between composition, improvisation, and musical performance applied both to her own performativity and to collaboration with visual and movement arts. Anxe Faraldo is an experimental musician and focuses on the exploration of unconventional digital and electronic media, developing a performative, critical, and ecological perspective of electronic sound, visible in his work as an improviser, as well as in his installations and interdisciplinary creations. The creative project shared by both artists materializes in La Membrana, a sound creation space located in Barcelona.
