The rumba, musical Catalan genre that has given us so many illustrious names, takes a verbena flavour from a contemporary and bastard perspective in the instruments of Hijos del Trueno, megaband with formerly members of historical bands from Barcelona’s underground (Tarantula, Surfing Sirles, Manos de Topo or Les Sueques), taking an unabashedly trip between Ebro traditional jotas to the rhythms of the Nile, from the habaneras to the boleros. A popular and dystopian orchestra, rumba-fiction with songs dedicated to labor slavery and frenetic urban life.
