Traditional Catalan songs recovered under a feminist, electronic and contemporary prism. This spring we fell in love with “La Lireta” (which means “la loca”), the debut EP of Ariadna Rulló’s musical project with the collaboration of Judit Pi Aloy and the production of Arnau Vallvé (of the group Manel). Beats and synthesizers wrap up the intertwined words that our ancestors sang in the last century. A passionate and revealing work that is mainly based on one of the most important works of Catalan ethnologist and folklorist Joan Amades.
