From the balearic islands, voice, poetry, subtle electronics and a guest saxophone move along the boundary between tradition and experimentation. Puput Lab is the shared project of Joana Gomila and Laia Vallès: a space for improvisation and sonic research that, with each encounter, invites a different musician or artist to share listening, risk and intuition. At Eufònic they are joined by Carles Medina, a saxophonist from Felanitx whose practice spans jazz, improvisation and a wide range of musical traditions. Between spoken word, deconstructed song, electronic sounds and saxophone, the trio allows the material to transform in real time. Music that does not seek closure, but instead follows a thread until something new emerges.

Joana Gomila and Laia Vallès: Puput Lab

Singer, composer and one of the most distinctive voices in contemporary music from Mallorca, Joana Gomila has spent years exploring the possibilities of oral tradition beyond folklore. Through projects such as *Folk Souvenir* and *Paradís*, as well as her collaborations with Laia Vallès, she has developed a unique language in which voice, words and experimentation coexist naturally. In Puput Lab, the project she shares with Vallès, improvisation and listening become the starting point from which each encounter finds its own path.

Festival Pedra Viva

For the past fifteen years, Pedra Viva Festival has transformed heritage sites across Menorca into stages for singular musical and performing arts projects. With a programme open to risk, poetry and hybrid forms, the festival has established itself as one of the most distinctive cultural events of the Menorcan summer. This concert comes to Eufònic in collaboration with Pedra Viva, strengthening the ties between two projects that share a curiosity for artistic practices that venture beyond well-trodden paths.
