Since 2017 the visual artist, researcher and Chilean-Venezuelan DJ Isamit Morales shakes the Barcelona music scene with the project La Niña Jacarandá. Electronic music charged with activism and symbolism that projects and explores the intersection between ambient, reggaeton, deconstructed club music and the recontextualization of mainstream pop. With the EP “Clasiqueo Club Pack” (2020), released a year after the social revolt in the streets of Chile, she made us dance with our eyes fixed on all “Souths”, whether territorial, bodily or mental. She is also the founder of Sin Sync, a “feminist and anti-colonial DJs school” based in VOL (Barcelona venue) that promotes female experimentation in the musical field and shares resources for girls to learn DJing in a community space free of mansplanning. Our closing party, behind Suís beach, will vibrate with her session on the decks.
