The Barcelona artist Marc Vives sings, swims, and moves between the performing and visual arts. He works with the materiality of the voice and its sculptural and spatial potential with the aim of infiltrating structures, architectures, landscapes and other bodies to reformulate the established order. “S5555”, his proposal selected within the Eufònic / Lo Pati 2025 artistic residencies call, will be articulated as a series of actions based on voice and space, as well as on the analysis of their impact on bodies. The starting point will be his own experience of “singing” to the landscape from the water of the Ebro Delta and attract this liquid quality to the structures that surround us. In recent years, Vives has shown his work at the CCEMX (Mexico City, 2020), Grec Festival (BCN, 2020), MACBA (BCN, 2021), La Panera (Lleida, 2021) and Lo Pati (Amposta, 2022) and has also performed at L’Antic Teatre (BCN), La Casa Encendida (Madrid), Performa (Santiago de Compostela) and at the Museum of Contemporary Art of Panama.
