“Espectro Dorado” (Golden Spectrum) is a performance and audiovisual album that explores the mystical, symbolic, and historical charge of golden shine through the elements of light, image, and sound. An exploration of the human connection with gold and the color golden as a symbol of abundance, wealth, and power, as well as the ancient use of the precious metal for spiritual and ceremonial purposes. The visuals of this project are the work of visual artist, technological creative, and educator Maria Verde, currently a professor at the Master’s in Music Production, Technology, and Innovation at Berklee College of Music Valencia. Her artistic practice explores the relationship between the organic and the electronic, noise, repetition, and real-time digital processing of analog signals, and materializes in multimedia and light installations. Accustomed to participating in music and dance proposals, in “Golden Spectrum” she joins forces with composer and sound artist José Venditti. Based in Madrid, he has released up to 11 albums, including a couple under the name Negrønegre. He has performed concerts at the Reina Sofia National Art Center Museum, La Casa Encendida, or the Círculo de Bellas Artes in Madrid, at Tabakalera in Donosti, the SEMINCI in Valladolid, and in artistic spaces in countries such as Vietnam, Taiwan, Malaysia, Ireland, Colombia, or Uruguay.
