A true privilege to welcome this master of modern ambient music born in Tijuana (Mexico) and currently residing in Celrà (Girona). Author of classics of the genre such as Martes + Utopia, Cosmos, or Remembranza (cult albums happily re-released in 2022), Fernando Corona (AKA Murcof) edited last year the brilliant “Twin Color (Vol. 1)”, an album that incorporates post-punk and synth-wave elements and a dystopian narrative influenced by the science fiction films of the 80s. Murcof is recognized internationally for its minimalist and glitch textures and unique sound as one of the great names of contemporary ambient music, along with artists such as Tim Hecker, Alva Noto or Jóhann Jóhannsson. In Eufònic 2025 he will present this latest work in the form of an immersive audiovisual performance with natural landscapes that he conceived together with the Brussels artist Simon Geilfus and premiered at the Mutek Montréal festival last summer. Not to be missed!
