Since 2024, Ramon Casamajó, Julia Múgica, and Ivó Valdivielso have been exploring nature through musicians’ eyes and translating its unseen patterns into sonic scenes. Processed trumpets, lines of code, and analogue pulses get caught in the jungle of loops that Ramon (who already paid us a visit in 2023 with his QBRNTHSS project) and Ivó take charge of building. And Julia, a biologist and visual creator, programmes animal behaviours that react to acoustic stimuli. Each performance becomes a safari of minimalist melodies and rhythmic abstraction, in a proposal that takes its cues from cutting-edge electronica, snippets of folk song, and electroacoustic experimentation. In their contribution to BotCamp, you’ll find algorithmic composition and live coding, trumpet passages, modular synthesisers, and audio-reactive visuals. A three-way performance that evokes nature, improvisation, and collective creativity.
