Sònia Gómez is a dancer, performer, and choreographer from La Sénia (Montsià, Tarragona). She studied Contemporary Dance and Choreography at the Institut del Teatre (Barcelona) and at P.A.R.T.S (Brussels, Belgium). Since 2004, she has been working on projects that focus on identity construction, as well as the discovery of certain social impostures through art and the impostures of art through the body and performance. She has performed throughout Spain and in the United Kingdom, Italy, Germany, France, Estonia, Portugal, the USA, Brazil, Mexico, the Netherlands, Colombia, Chile, China, the Czech Republic, and Canada. Among her many awards, she received the Butaca Award for Best Choreography for “The Black Body” (2022) and the Butaca Award for Best Dance Show for “A vore” (2018).
