Between contemporary clarinet, family memory and an almost cinematic sensitivity, Teresa Nogueron builds in “Vuit” a delicate, intimate and deeply evocative live performance. Dedicated to her grandfather and emotionally rooted in the Terres de l’Ebre, the piece moves through loss, tension and a quiet sense of acceptance, allowing sound to become a space where memory takes shape. Clarinet, guitar and electronic bases come together in a format that feels both close and expansive, where acoustic gestures, breath and atmospheric textures coexist with remarkable naturalness.

With a sound world that can recall Truffaut film scores, the emotional passages of Georges Delerue or the universe of “La nuit américaine”, “Vuit” reclaims the clarinet as an instrument capable of moving between subtlety, expressive force and experimentation. Without relying on grand scenic artifices, the performance centres on listening and on music’s ability to suggest inner landscapes, latent images and emotions that do not need to be overstated. A small wonder only in appearance.
