The formidable “Dragons” is the fourth album by Throwing Snow, the visually-augmented electronic project by English artist, designer and scholar of astrophysics and archeoacoustics Ross Tones. With an eclectic amalgamation of synthesizers and instruments such as cello or traditional drums such as daf (originating from the Middle East) or bodhrán (from Ireland), he explores the space between science and ancestral wisdom and links music back to its the prehistoric capacity for transmitting knowledge to new technology that can untangle the complexity of the contemporary world. It is more than likely that we’ll leave the Pavelló Firal of La Ràpita floating away.
