CO-VISION 2026: From Debate to Creation, Three Years of Collaborative Research in the Ebro Delta

Three events at Eufònic 2026 exploring natural heritage and presenting the results of the European CO-VISION project in the Ebro Delta

In July 2026, CO-VISION returned to Eufònic with three events bringing together artists and scientists to explore the region’s ecological transformations. Held in Amposta and Tortosa, these gatherings provided an opportunity to share research processes, discuss natural heritage and present Mapping the Invisible, the augmented reality artwork developed as part of the European project.

Public Panel: Art and Science in the Face of Climate Change

On Saturday 11 July, the Museu de les Terres de l’Ebre hosted a guided tour of AMOC, Marta Royo’s audiovisual installation exploring ocean circulation. The artist and scientist Vanessa Balagué (ICM-CSIC) discussed the connections between art and science and how to represent climate phenomena that often lie beyond our perception.

Professional Panel: A Shared Vision of Our Natural Heritage

On Friday 17 July, the Centre d’Art i Cultura in Tortosa brought together Lauren Moffatt, Auronda Scalera and Daniel Burda, director of Signal Festival, for a discussion moderated by Antònia Folguera. The session explored the role of digital arts in preserving natural heritage and offered an opportunity to share experiences from the co-creation process developed over CO-VISION’s three years.

Mapping the Invisible: Public Presentation in the Ebro Delta

On Saturday 18 July, Ullals de Baltasar in Amposta hosted the public presentation of Mapping the Invisible, a project by Lauren Moffatt, SHOEG and Jaume Vidal developed over two years of research and artistic creation.

Drawing on diatoms, microorganisms essential to aquatic ecosystems, the artists created an augmented reality experience that invites audiences to see the Delta from a different perspective and reflect on the transformations affecting its natural heritage. The presentation marked the culmination of a process that began with CO-VISION’s first public gatherings at Eufònic 2025.
