Maria Camila Sanjinés is a Colombian artist based in Catalonia who works across visual arts, cultural research, and pedagogical action. Her interdisciplinary practice blends ceramics, soundscapes, performance, and live arts to explore themes such as memory, territory, and migration. Through sensitive cartographies and collective actions, Sanjinés weaves narratives that connect body, community, and identity, offering a critical and poetic perspective on the spaces we inhabit.

Le Pavillon (Belgium)

Charlotte Benedetti is the director of Le Pavillon, a new exhibition space in Namur, Belgium, dedicated to digital cultures and managed by the organization KIKK. With a background in photography and a master’s degree in cultural management, she has spent over fifteen years designing and coordinating exhibitions that connect art, science, and technology.

She regularly participates in public events and leads workshops, driven by her passion for storytelling through space and her commitment to making museums and exhibitions more inclusive, innovative, and socially engaged.

Tabakalera (Donostia / San Sebastián)

Clara Montero is an art historian and the cultural director of Tabakalera, the International Centre for Contemporary Culture in San Sebastián. She studied Art History, Psychology, and Pedagogy at the University of Frankfurt, where she also worked as a tutor. Her professional career began in art galleries in Zurich, and in 2008 she returned to San Sebastián to join the Tabakalera project.

In 2012, she was appointed Director of Cultural Promotion for the Basque Government, where she developed public policies in the field of cultural industries and was part of the governing bodies of major Basque cultural institutions, such as the San Sebastián Film Festival, the Basque Film Archive, and Donostia 2016 European Capital of Culture.

She currently leads the cultural direction of Tabakalera, where she promotes contemporary creation, critical thinking, and engagement with the territory.

Eduard Alarcón is a researcher and professor, Full Professor at the School of Telecommunications Engineering in Barcelona (UPC), where he graduated in 2000 with a national award. He has been a visiting professor in the United States (2003) and Sweden (2011), scientific advisor to the Spanish Ministry of Science (2019), and recipient of the ICREA Academia Award from the Government of Catalonia (2019 and 2024). He currently leads the Quantum Computing research group.
He has participated in research projects funded by the European Union, NSF, NASA and ESA, working in multidisciplinary teams with colleagues from MIT, EPFL, Google, Aalto, Intel, UC Berkeley, and Cornell, among others. He was Editor-in-Chief of the international scientific journal IEEE Journal of Emerging Issues in Circuits and Systems, and in the field of higher education, he co-led the CDIO World Congress of Engineering Education in Barcelona in 2013 and was part of the international committee for the 2012 edition held at MIT and Harvard.

Edwin van der Heide is an artist, composer, and researcher in the field of sound, space, and interaction. His practice expands musical language and composition into spatial, interactive, and interdisciplinary directions. His work includes installations, performances, and immersive environments where the audience is at the center of the work and invited to actively explore and interact with it.

He has presented his work at renowned museums, festivals, and art centers such as SMAK (Ghent), Ars Electronica (Linz), Stedelijk Museum (Amsterdam), DEAF/V2_ (Rotterdam), ICC (Tokyo), NAMOC (Beijing), Transmediale (Berlin), Sónar (Barcelona), Taipei Fine Arts Museum, SFMOMA, FILE (Brazil), MAXXI (Rome), SONAMBIENTE (Berlin), Museo Reina Sofía (Madrid), ZKM (Karlsruhe), Art Basel Parcours Night, and Donaueschinger Musiktage.

In addition to running his own studio, he is a part-time professor and researcher at Leiden University, within the Leiden Institute for Advanced Computer Science (LIACS) and the Media Technology master’s program, as well as at the Academy for Creative and Performing Arts (ACPA). From 1995 to 2016, he was a lecturer and later co-director (2014-2016) of the Interfaculty ArtScience at the Royal Conservatory and Royal Academy of Art in The Hague. In 2009, he was the Edgard Varèse guest professor at the Technische Universität Berlin and received the Witteveen+Bos Art+Technology award for his overall work. He was also an artist-in-residence and guest professor at Le Fresnoy – Studio national des arts contemporains (France) during the 2011-2012 academic year.

Onassis ONX (Onassis eXtended Realities) – (Greece)

Heracles Papatheodorou is a design technologist, digital creator, project coordinator, and licensed architect based in Athens, Greece. He is currently the Digital & Development Project Manager at the Onassis Foundation, collaborating with artists and thinkers as a producer of public programs focused on digital arts, innovation, and digital transformation. He has worked for several years both as a freelance architect and in startups within design, architecture, and web development.

Onassis ONX (Onassis eXtended Realities) is a global platform for new media art and digital culture, where creative ideas intertwine with innovative technologies to create immersive experiences. Launched in 2020 by Onassis Culture, the cultural pillar of the Onassis Foundation, it has creative hubs in New York and Athens, offering artists the opportunity to create using the most advanced technologies.

As a dynamic platform driving contemporary art, Onassis ONX collaborates with an international network of institutions to foster sustainable circuits for producing and distributing innovative works. Through partnerships with leading artists and organizations, the platform supports creativity in fields such as artificial intelligence (AI), virtual reality (VR), spatial computing, and natively digital media.

Isabel Archs is a musician, photographer, and freelance music producer based in Barcelona. She graduated in violin performance from the Conservatori Superior de Música del Liceu, specializing in classical and contemporary music, and has won several national and international awards in chamber music. She currently works in classical and experimental music, collaborating with various ensembles and orchestras.

Her artistic research focuses on multidisciplinary projects such as the Ölivias project and theatrical productions. Over the past four years, she has been artistically exploring themes of death and mourning.

She was selected for the CONFLUENCE CAT 2025 call and completed her artistic residency in Quebec, at Avatar studios, between January and February 2025.

Sismògraf (Olot)

After studying Humanities and training in Contemporary Art and Pedagogy in Barcelona and Lisbon, I began my professional career in Dance and Live Arts at the Sismògraf Festival in 2018. Since then, I have been involved in various projects as a cultural manager both nationally and internationally, specializing in cultural cooperation projects and mediation of artistic practices. Alongside working in public facilities, I have collaborated with companies such as Las Huecas, Soren Evinson, and Colectivo Llego Tarde. I am currently part of the artistic team at Sismògraf and coordinate the festival.

Lina Choi is an artist based in Montreal, originally from South Korea. She holds a master’s degree in Sculpture from the Royal College of Art in London, UK. Her artistic research explores bodies of water through sound, focusing on sonic imagination and bodily listening. She creates immersive and meditative experiences through performance, installation, and sound composition.

She was selected for the CONFLUENCE QC 2025 call and completed her residency in Catalonia between June and July (L’Estruch, Sabadell and Eufònic, Terres de l’Ebre).

Her work has been presented in various venues in Quebec — including OBORO, Centre Clark, and DARE-DARE (Montreal), DAÏMÔN / Axenéo7 (Gatineau), and Est-Nord-Est (Saint-Jean-Port-Joli) — as well as at The Music Gallery in Toronto and the Incheon Art Platform in South Korea. Her upcoming solo exhibition will take place at L’Écart Lieu d’Art Actuel in Rouyn-Noranda in 2025.

Maria Canelles has always been closely connected to the cultural world, with a career spanning literature, theatre, and education. She holds degrees in Humanities and in Literary Theory and Comparative Literature, along with a master’s in Theatre Studies. She has worked as a literary and theatre critic, teacher, bookseller, and collaborator in various cultural projects. She has been involved in initiatives such as Tantàgora and Els Pirates Teatre, always driven by an active commitment to cultural outreach. She currently works at the Joan Brossa Foundation, where she coordinates exhibitions, public programmes, and cultural activities. She also writes, and keeps the flame of reading alive with the passion of someone who knows it’s never quite enough.

Rencontres Audiovisuelles (France)

Marie Dumontier is a video mapping project coordinator at Rencontres Audiovisuelles (France). She began her professional career as a translator specializing in the audiovisual industry, and since 2021 she has been part of the Rencontres Audiovisuelles team, first as an assistant director and later as coordinator of the activities at the Video Mapping European Center.

In her current role, she coordinates the professional meetings of IBSIC and oversees training programmes, residencies, and research activities related to video mapping. She is particularly passionate about issues of inclusion, diversity, and ecology within the field of digital arts.

Núria Rovira Terradas is an artist from Valls working between Catalonia and England, specializing in performative and sound research in areas of unstable presences: spaces that juxtapose ruins with ecological mutations. The landscape of Morecambe Bay, near where she studied Fine Arts in northern England, fueled her curiosity about liminal spaces: a muddy desert between tides that layered rural symbolism with military and industrial activity.

This research has taken her to isolated zones with strange forms of nature, such as Walney Island, where nuclear submarines are produced; an abandoned police cell in Liverpool; and bell towers in Oxford, where she has collaborated with bell restorers. She was an artist-in-residence at the Lancaster Data Science Institute (2021) and Signal Film & Media (2022); was selected to participate in Shilpa Gupta’s workshop at the Fundación Botín (2024), and received a grant from Arts Council England (2023) to develop interactive sound techniques. In 2024, she completed a research master’s on material and sound memory narratives at the University of Oxford.

This year, she was an artist-in-residence at Eufònic, selected in the Eufònic Lo Pati 2025 artistic residencies call, and presents an installation at the old Ferrer pharmacy as part of Eufònic 2025’s program.

Thalia Escribano is a Barcelona-based artist and creative specializing in audiovisual design and mixed media techniques. Her work is defined by the creation of 3D visual imaginaries that fuse nature and technology with a poetic and introspective approach. Through organic forms and digital textures, she explores themes such as identity, connection with the environment, and the beauty of the intangible. Her practice moves between photography, video, and graphic design, transforming the everyday into magical and surreal worlds.

HERVISIONS (London)

Zaiba Jabbar is a curator, educator, award-winning director, and founder of HERVISIONS (2015), a curatorial agency, platform, and digital art studio based in London, focused on women and feminisms. HERVISIONS produces commissions, exhibitions, and innovative events exploring the intersection of art, technology, and culture.

A pioneer in digital art and augmented reality exhibitions, Jabbar has collaborated with prestigious institutions such as Tate, Google Arts & Culture, arebyte, bitforms, Furtherfield, and The Photographers’ Gallery, among others. She is committed to making art more accessible beyond traditional gallery spaces.
